Semiha Ünal

After gaining experiences and establishing a career of more than 20 years in corporate organizations, she decided to combine her academic and business career to offer personalized business and management consultancy services. She was raised in the Netherlands and speaks Dutch and English fluently and has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. An MBA degree blended with entrepreneurial spirit, being internationally oriented and knowing the Turkish mentality concerning doing business within the governmental and private entities in Turkey, distinguishes her from others. Her proactive, diligent and professional approach are fundamental aspects that makes her being able to deliver methodical and innovative business solutions.

Business and Management experience:

Semiha Ünal held several management positions in the field of Foreign Trade, Corporate Communications, Business Development and Strategic Planning.  She managed and coordinated various international projects with cross functional teams. Semiha took part in the evaluation team composed by The Minister of Transportation to evaluate the appropriate company to be established in order to manufacture Light Rail Vehicles and High Speed Trains in Turkey. Together with her team members she was able to accomplish all kinds of procedures and contracts which were necessary to establish a joint-stock company.

Moreover, she was the founding partner of Esjim Ltd. Şti. which is active in the production and marketing of fitness machinery in Turkey.

In addition to her business activities she is a member of the Advisory Board to the Dean of the Center for Graduate Programs of SUNY/Empire State College.

As the member of the Management Team of Dutch Social Association in Istanbul (Nederlandse Vereniging Istanbul-NVI) for three years she managed the business contacts to gain the necessary sources in order to enable the Association organizing Dutch related activities.
